Sundry's Annual End of the Year Recap

auntie k - you know me so well. I cannot resist participating, especially during a year that brought such enormous change to our lives.

1. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?

Had a Caro!

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I don't usually make resolutions. I never seem to stick to them.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

Besides ourselves there were several other moms whom we have become close with that had babies in 2007, does that count? My family welcomed a new cousin Rhea and Steve's welcomed Abigail and Maeve. It was a year for women apparently and 2008 seems to be all boys on the way!

4. Did anyone close to you die?

Robert Pirelli

Amazingly when I was placing that link I saw a comment I had never seen before and for the life of me I cannot place the commenter. I cannot view emails on this system... so Laura, if you read this - comment again with a way to contact you...

5. What countries did you visit?

Didn't leave US soil this year, but we are Mexico bound in Feb 08 for the Choyfrocca affair.

Caroline was definitely our biggest achievement, but personally and just for me, my biggest accomplishment was getting back to work and balancing my work and home life.

9. What was your biggest failure?

As a Mom, I think I always fear that I am failing. Losing touch with Brett has to be the biggest suckdom of my year. Hopefully we will right that soon.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Cold here or there, but nothing serious thankfully, though I did have that horrible puffy eye that sort of just corrected itself after a day and some ice.

38. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.

Her face is a map of the world Is a map of the world
You can see she's a beautiful girl She's a beautiful girl
And everything around her is a silver pool of light
The people who surround her feel the benefit of it
It makes you calm
She holds you captivated in her palm

Suddenly I see This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see Why the hell it means so much to me

I feel like walking the world Like walking the world
You can hear she's a beautiful girl She's a beautiful girl

She fills up every corner like she's born in black and white
Makes you feel warmer when you're trying to remember
What you heard She likes to leave you hanging on her word

Suddenly I see This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see Why the hell it means so much to me

And she's taller than most
And she's looking at me
I can see her eyes looking from a page in a magazine
Oh she makes me feel like I could be a tower
A big strong tower
She got the power to be
The power to give
The power to see

Suddenly I see This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see Why the hell it means so much to me
